BRUNSWICK HOUSE

This project transforms a narrow site in Brunswick into a functional and inviting family home, blending sustainable design with thoughtful construction logic. The brief required preserving the street-facing portion of the house while integrating a modern double-storey extension that maximizes natural light and enhances everyday living. The original front section, including two bedrooms, connects to the new addition via a central hallway that serves as the home’s spine. The new ground floor houses the kitchen, laundry, and open plan living and dining areas, while the upper level houses a master bedroom with a walk-in robe, ensuite, and a study. An internal courtyard floods the home with natural light and incorporates a practical laundry deck. The design’s material palette—eucalyptus green, solid timber, and white-painted brickwork—creates a serene atmosphere that harmonizes with the eclectic charm of Brunswick.
